Would you throw out $100,000 as a business to do what is right? Somebody did!

The world is getting smaller. Competition is fierce. It is more important to be a smarter consumer and support companies that benefit the world. In 2006, MEC (Mountain Equipment Coop), a Vancouver-based company, recalled and destroyed product with a retail value of $100,000 because it was made by a factory that employed children.

Would you let go of that much money yourself to stand against child labor? How many companies out there are utilizing businesses to add value to society? I would like to know.  If you know of any, support them and spread the word!   If you are a business, know that you can make a difference!  If you are a global successful company, please stand up!
