PRODUCT REVIEW: Wrap it UP

18 Dec

Wrap it up, just in time for Christmas!

This past Monday, 12/15/14 at 8 AM I tried out the wraps everyone have been raving about. I received a wrap from @wrapsragirlbestfriend to test out and see if it really works. And I must tell you…… I was skeptical about it and didn’t expect it to do anything but I was wrong. Once I put it on and wrapped it with Cling wrap around my stomach (my most stubborn area) I started to feel this sensation. I was like a cooling and tingling feeling happening on my stomach. After an Hour I removed the wrap, rubbed in the cream that was left on my stomach and drank water through out the day, for the next 3 days. It takes a whole 72 hours to see the complete results of the 1st wrap. I measured and took pictures of my self before, during and After. I lost 2 1/2 inches in 72 hours ladies and gents! Here are my pictures (And don’t laugh at my tummy 🙂 Thanks):

As you can tell this is not a paid promotion.. this actually works am I am now a believer!

Beauty Made Easy: Beauty Tips by Glam Expert Tracy Balan

10 Beauty Tips:
  1. Prevent frizz and speed up your drying time by using paper towel to wring water from your hair after shower. The paper won’t create as much friction as a towel, so you end up less frizzy. Also a paper towel absorbs more water than a cloth towel, speeding up your drying time.
  2.  When tweezing, make sure you soften your skin before you start by dabbing a cotton ball soaked in warm water or cream. When tweezing, do so in the direction of your hair’s growth.
  3. To stretch your hair color you can use DIY home glaze. Glazes fill holes and rough spots in your hair shafts, helping smooth your mane and putting moisture back into your hair. This  will keep your color shiny, bright and  lasting longer.
  4. Get moisture back into your skin in half the time by using hair conditioner to moisturize your hair and body. Just massage it in head to toe in the shower, rinse and dry. The conditioner will moisturize just as well as body lotion.
  5. If you run out of makeup remover, use body lotion or Olive oil with a cotton ball  to remove makeup. It also works well on tough mascara.
  6. Get more for your money, by applying styling products 10 minutes before you style. Whether you are curling, straightening, or doing an updo, applying product 10 minutes in advance helps it fully absorb into your hair.
  7. Refreshen makeup in a snap. Lightly mist your face with toner, then pat with a tissue. Finish up with a dusting of loose powder to seal everything back into place.
  8. A quick way to hide new growth or grey hair if you dont have time to get a color retouch. Simple use mascara if you have dark hair. For blondes or redheads try dusting your roots with eye shadow or bronzing powder then seal with hair spray.
  9. To get smoother result when shaving legs, wait until after your shower to shave. The steam softens hairs for closer shave and smoother results.
  10. Two tricks to stop flyaway hair. Spray Static Guard on your comb or brush.  Or you can yous a dryer sheet on your hair.

One Ratchet Play

10 Oct

It’s been a very long time since I seen something so ratchet! Well, on Sunday, September 28th, 2014 I went to view the Release the Kraken. The play wanted to shine light on the most ratchet situations and the different people who were ratchet, they definitely succeeded. I always new that ratchet is not a skin color, but a life style and that’s exactly what the play exposed to its audience. There were tons of cursing so if you are a person like myself who tends to avoid vulgar language, I suggest you cover you ears when going out to see this play. There were some funny scenes; K. Michelle, Stevie J and Joseline Hernandez skit cracked me up. At the end the cast, writer and director sat and spoke to the audience telling  us about their journey. I also spotted their Publicist Shirley Paul mingling with the show’s supporters. They totally released the Kraken!

Thoughts of A(n): Entrepreneur

10 Apr

No body knows what its like to be inside the mind of an entrepreneur. Yes it seems like its all fun and games but anyone who is an entrepreneur knows that its the hardest thing to do in life. When you leave a 9-5 job and become your own boss, you take on a 24/7. Sleepless nights and setbacks is all you seem to know. There are times when my phone is on the verge of being caught off and I don’t even know how I will pay that bill. There are even times I’m depending on a client to come through and they end up canceling. Sucks sometimes to be a Boss with no workers.

These are the ways I deal with being an entrepreneur to keep from giving up:

No Food = Fasting

No Phone= time to clear my mind, silence

No Transportation= Walking is healthy

No Shopping= I love my vintage clothing

No salon= Going natural is in

No Movies= Reading is fundamental, Bible is free

These are some great ways for you to make any of your hard times become good times. No one said it would be easy, only that it would be worth it. When I think about giving up, I reflect on what if I did? where would I go? There is nothing left for an entrepreneur but to go up. Sometimes you get a setback by a door closing or a scam artists taking you for a ride, but with ever glitch there are opportunities to learn. For all things are done to you or for you for a reason. Taking the good with out the bad is like taking the sun without the rain…. nothing grows on dry land.

WHY AM I SINGLE

6 Mar

I was asked the question  “why are you single?” last night, and I had to think about it more in depth.  Why am I single? Shoot if I knew how not to be single I would not be single. The follow-up questions were: are you needy, clingy, whining?  Well I’m truly none of those. I am a woman that knows her worth. Men nowadays want someone to bend over backwards,  to be their friend, lover and support system, yet giving them nothing but bastard babies in return.
Why am I single? Well not because I intimidate men or because I am picky. Again, I am a woman who knows her worth.  I am very ambitious and into a lot of things,  most times I don’t have time to be in a relationship.  I am celibate, which helps to weed out the players and boys. I have an education,  so yes my conversations tend to blow minds. So, to the corner hanging dudes who whistle and yell to get my attention, it’s a no.  The men of  today aren’t men of yesterday to become men of a promising future.  I am heterosexual,  which leaves me with how many straight men, without bitter baby mothers, Bisexual tendencies, commitment fobias, Diseases, alcohol and/or drug addictions or with the fear of God?
Why am I single? Well, because I won’t settle. I won’t settle for a man who wants me to lower my standards and comprise, when he won’t budge in his own thinking. I won’t settle for a not so happy relationship for the sake of being in one. I won’t settle for the “lets go with the flow”, when knowing the flow isn’t guaranteed.  I won’t settle for a man who denies his kids to be with me. And I definitely won’t settle for a man that doesn’t belong to me.
Why am I single? Well, because…. I choose to be.
